First Post

Hello everyone,

I wanted to take a moment to share a work-in-progress design I've been working on. Recently, I started a one-shot D&D campaign with some friends, and I'm playing as an Armorer Artificer. For those unfamiliar, think of it as a fantasy version of Iron Man!

As part of the character, I needed to create a suit of armor. In this role, you get two distinct armor sets to choose from: one that's heavily built and tanky, and another that's sleek, agile, and optimized for stealth and quick movement during battles.

I'm excited to share that I've just completed the render of the "Infiltrator" design (the fast and stealthy one). It's still a work in progress, but I thought it would be fun to give you all a look at how it's shaping up so far.

Meanwhile, I’m also working on the tanky Armor design. Right now, it’s in what I jokingly call the “Clown College” phase—a rough, unpolished stage where colours are blocked out, and shapes are loosely defined. This is part of my process, as tackling an entire design at once can be overwhelming. Instead, I break it down into sections, focusing on individual components before refining textures, lighting, and shading.

Once I’m happy with the overall structure, I go back for a final pass to ensure everything comes together seamlessly. I’ll be sure to share updates as the designs progress, so stay tuned for more!

Let me know what you think of the Infiltrator so far—I’d love to hear your feedback!
