I graduated from Bolton University in July 2020 with a BSc in VFX for Film and TV, and I am eager to build a career in visual effects, particularly within the FX and Technical FX divisions for film and television. With a strong foundation in VFX and a drive to learn, I continuously seek opportunities to deepen my skills, whether through independent research, hands-on practice, or collaborative projects. I am committed to expanding my expertise across other technical areas as well, enhancing my versatility in this rapidly evolving industry.A collaborative team player, I thrive in dynamic group environments, yet I am equally comfortable managing independent tasks to ensure projects are delivered to the highest standard. To view my work, please feel free to explore my showreel, currently featured on my LinkedIn profile.
key software skills
there's more I'm learning
Houdini
Specializing in Fx work in my second year of university I have attempted a variety of different sides of Houdini. primarily working in particles, RBD, procedural, and a few bits of grain. I'm learning more with each project and would love the opportunity to work with other fx artists to help develop my skills in weaker areas.
Photoshop
Over the years, I have developed a strong foundation in graphic design, largely through self-teaching and hands-on practice. Additionally, my animation course included lectures on Photoshop, which allowed me to refine and solidify my skills. I now feel confident in my abilities with the software and consistently achieve high-quality results in my work. I’m always interested in learning new techniques to enhance efficiency and further elevate the quality of my designs.
Maya
Being an industry standard at the time my university gave us lectures on everything Maya can do, working from home I haven't been able to work in the software for a while but the skills I learned are surprisingly transferable to other software such as blender which I'm currently self-teaching.
